Bill Rider – Chief Blogger

 

Bill has spent much of his working life (20 years+) in the tyre industry both buying and selling products in to the market.  

In 2020 during Covid he founded Sure Host, an independent web hosting company, based in the UK who specialise in providing web hosting services to small UK businesses.

He also ran the independent online computer hardware store: Eaton Hardware, selling top consumer electronics brands to PC enthusiasts, at competitive prices around the UK.

It is within the technology sector that Bill is particularly passionate, having been impressed by a computer that was given to him by his uncle in the early 90’s.  

Many years of hardware tinkering and gaming followed, paired with the introduction of the internet some years later, he would design websites, which ultimately laid the path for starting his hosting company.

Bill is very much a family man who loves spending time with his family.  A keen runner, golfer and (retired) footballer, always happy to take on a challenge.  

He keeps an eye and ear on politics and is often consulted with on matters of personal finance, another area he is well read on. 

Bill considers himself a bit of a (Union) Jack of all trades & describes his super power as being able to sit on any table, with anyone and being genuinely engaged and able to contribute to any subject of discussion.
