InflateBounce Wyton Cambridgeshire Review

Looking for something active and fun to do with the kids in Cambridgeshire? InflateBounce – Wyton Cambridgeshire claims to be East Anglia’s largest indoor play centre!

Who Are InflateBounce?

InflateBounce is a huge play centre (claiming to be the largest indoor play area in East Anglia), which consists of lots of inflatable play equipment.

From the classic bouncy castle, to the larger more eccentric.

Where To Find InflateBounce?

InflateBounce – Wyton Cambridgeshire PE28 2DY, is just to the west of St Ives.

If you are approaching from RAF Wyton, then InflateBounce will be located on your right.

If you are approaching from St Ives, you’ll find it on your left.

What You’ll Find When You Arrive

Upon arrival, you will find a large car park to the left of the entrance as you drive in.

Beware that there are one or two rather large potholes to contend with, so if it’s raining take extra care as some of those puddles are quite deep.

The reception staff were friendly and called up our booking on the system really quickly & ushered us in with no fuss.

We did also receive confirmation by email and had a QR code, which in our case wasn’t required.

On your way in to the playing arena, you will notice both a Cafe and an on site Ice cream parlor, which although we didn’t sample on this occasion, I thought it was a nice touch.

We missed the lockers initially, which meant that we kept our valuables on us.

Lockers are free and I would highly recommend using them.

This will help keep your table free of clutter and prevent you having too much in your pockets.

Then you turn in to a massive playing arena full of just about every inflatable plaything you could think of, tables line the centre where you can eat snacks/meals purchased onsite.

The arena is so large, that the tables don’t encroach on the playing zones.

So, if you are like us and have bags/shoes everywhere, no-one is likely to trip over them.

There are also party pods, which should you have an organised party you can use as your base.

The Inflatables

To the main attraction, the inflatables.

The inflatables line either side of the play area, from simple bouncy castles to larger more adventurous items with slides & things to climb on.

There is a strong Dinosaur / Dragon theme presence, along with Unicorns & Animal themes for equilibrium.

As with all of these things, I made sure I had a good play and I have to admit I had a great time.

My children particularly liked the bouncy slides (as did I), I strongly recommend that you and your children cover up your arms and legs as the chance of friction burns is high.

Considering the sheer scale of the place, I felt quite relaxed letting my 2 year old and 5 year old run around together.

Obviously, we kept a good eye on them but the vibe was very positive and it was evident that safety is taken very seriously.

Younger Children

There is an area reserved for under 5s, which again is a nice touch as we all know from experience that bouncing can get quite boisterous at times.

Our 2 year old was more than happy playing in the rest of the arena, although he did also enjoy playing in the youngsters area too!

Food & Drink

Food and drink was fairly good, especially from a value perspective.

We had a couple of coffees, a couple of fruit shoots alongside a twix, a Muffin and three rice crispy cakes which came to £13.40.

The coffee was of a reasonably good quality, certainly better than some of the coffee served up at children’s entertainment establishments.

As the food was reasonable, we stayed for the children’s lunch.

Meals for my two children (both under 7), totalled £11.50. They were the perfect size for their age.

Food did take a while to come out, about 15/20 minutes. So plenty of time for a bit of a play beforehand.

Note that; you can order to your table using a QR code and your phone.

What Does It All Cost?

InflateBounce runs a few different types of play, we attended the weekend play session.

They run 3 sessions (correct April 2024):

Evening – 16:00 – 19:00

Over 18 Months (£13.99)

Adults/16 Years + (£3.50)

Final Thoughts

Our family of 4 really enjoyed InflateBounce.

It was a very different type of experience than we were normally used to.

It might be slightly overwhelming for some children (and adults too!) as it is such a large space. So do keep this in mind.

Due to the vast size of the arena. If you have younger children, I would recommend keeping an adult to children ratio of 1:1 if you can.

Our children threw themselves (quite literally) straight in to the play & were entertained for a long time before requesting snacks.

I felt the session was good value and that 3 hours gave ample time to play and eat, without feeling under pressure to rush.

The pricing for adults seemed quite fair at £3.50, so no need to leave your other half at home to make a saving.

Children’s tickets were about where I would expect, which given the sessions last 3 hours brings them in to the good value bracket in my books.

The Cafe was pretty good value too, which I think is a shrewd customer friendly business decision.

We stayed for lunch despite our initial intention to eat at home.

This was in no small part due to the value of the kids meals.

I think we will go back, but it perhaps isn’t something we would do every week/month.

I’d put this in the “let’s do something a bit different today” category.

Take a look on their website for more information and to book your session.
